Annie Douglass Lima

Michelle Isenhoff has been amazingly helpful to me in my writing! I can hardly imagine publishing a new book without her eagle eyes on the manuscript first.
At the sentence level, her feedback has been great for helping me see clearer ways to phrase things, avoid redundancy, be succinct, and keep my writing smooth. Her comments on broader issues are always spot on, too. She’s great at helping me realize which character reactions don’t make sense, when more details are needed, and even where whole sections of text would be better left out.
Michelle’s comments are not only helpful but encouraging. She doesn’t hesitate to tell me if something resonates with her or point out why a scene is particularly effective. I always look forward to reading her feedback, both for the much-needed constructive criticism and for the encouragement about what I’m doing right.
I highly recommend Michelle’s editing and beta reading services. Any author’s manuscript will be stronger for them!
Annie Douglass Lima has written nearly a dozen novels. She and I met early in our writing careers and have beta read, critiqued, and proofread each other’s work for over a decade. I have had the pleasure of contributing to her middle grade Annals of Alasia series, her young adult Krillonian Chronicles, and her standalone sci-fi novel, Heartsong.
Project Overview
Currently, Annie is finishing a six-book series that she will publish all at once. I have already enthusiastically agreed to edit the entire thing, which I will detail here once the project is complete. In the meantime…
